Avon announces Alps coach crash survivor as face of new campaign

Avon has named Changing Faces ambassador Catrin Pugh as one of the faces of its Perfect Nudes campaign. The direct sales giant has also become the first beauty brand to sign the Changing Faces pledge to feature more diverse models within its campaigns, as part of its new global initiative, Stand4her.

Pugh, 25, suffered severe burns during a coach crash while she was travelling in the French Alps in 2013. She is the first person with a ‘visible difference’ to model for the brand and will be joined by 60-year-old Lucia Whitehouse, Gary Thompson and Megan Barton Hanson.

“I’m so excited to be working with Avon on this project. To be a part of a beauty campaign that challenges traditional beauty stereotypes, and the stigma around ‘looking different’ is so refreshing,” said Pugh.
