By Terry brings bespoke make-up to Hong Kong with first Palette Factory launch

Beauty brand By Terry has launched its first By Terry Palette Factory at Lane Crawford IFC, bringing bespoke beauty to Hong Kong, according to a report by Hong Kong Tatler.

The factory gives consumers the option to create their own customized palettes by selecting from a range of rare pigments and refined powders, with over 5,000 potential combinations.

The new Lane Crawford IFC station is said to be the only one of its kind within in Asia.

Embracing the trend of in-store experimental experiences, an iPad app will show buyers a virtual version of the palette before purchase, while an in-store assistant will be on hand to guide them through the process.

Terry de Gunzberg, By Terry Founder, said, “I’ve often been asked to make the By Terry experience more accessible. Our process is still very artisanal and it was difficult to export the (food bar) concept without losing its authenticity and degree of expertise, but my daughter Marion challenged me to make it more on-the-go, and more accessible luxury for the younger generation. And so, Palette Factory was born.”
