Glossier gunning for European market growth; appoints first Director of Europe

Having recently announced revenue of more than US$100 million for 2018, Glossier has its sights set firmly on conquering the European market in 2019. To that end, the company has announced a new role, welcoming Gemma Bellman to the fold as Director of Europe.

Bellman is charged with championing the company’s growth throughout the continent. The brand has already launched in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and France.

Bellman joins Glossier from Get the Gloss where she was Managing Director. Past roles include a decade in various sales and marketing positions at L’Oréal and Founder of app BeautySpotter. She is COO and a member of the Executive Board of the British Beauty Council.

“I’m delighted to be part of a team that is democratizing beauty and building a company in collaboration with its customers. I look forward to applying my expertise across commerce, content and community to create meaningful relationships with customers here in Europe as we work together to evolve the beauty industry,” she said.
