L’Oréal Paris has announced that it will launch a collaborative make-up line with fashion designer Isabel Marant to coincide with her catwalk show at fashion week, according to a report published by Harpers Bazaar.
Marant, who is known for her minimal look and bare-faced chic is widely considered to be an unusual choice for the French cosmetics brand – and it’ll come as no surprise that the collection is distinctly ‘capsule’, comprising just five products collectively described as ‘edgy but practical’.
“I’ve always interpreted fashion’s ready-to-wear literally, and I couldn’t be more thrilled at this chance to do that in make-up with an on-the-go collection with L’Oréal Paris,” said Marant in a press release, per Harpers. “It has been a dream to get right inside makeup innovation and to offer this collection of day-into-night, natural-to-smoking make-up essentials I have always wanted.”
“This is a collaboration that’s really of the moment: synonymous with Parisian elegance, Isabel Marant is one of the great self-made designers today. Absolutely true to herself and her independence, she’s the perfect partner for the brand, in our drive to make every woman around the world feel worth it,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President.
