Korean TV shopping channel CJ O’Shopping has announced that it has established a licensing agreement with US fashion label Vera Wang and will retail lingerie, clothing, cosmetics and accessories exclusively across Asia.
The TV retail drive will begin later this month, with the sale of the lingerie brand Vera Wang Intimates. Vera Wang Home will be sold from May and the TV channel will expand to garments, cosmetics and accessories through the VW Vera Wang collection in September.
The Korean company expects to generate 400 billion won (US$366m) in sales in the next five years by diversifying the retail channels, from TV shopping to department stores and others.
The deal is expected to propel the designer as well as CJ’s status across Asia.
