South Korea-based LG Household & Healthcare has reported a record Q3 growth, reaching 1.7 trillion won in sales, up 10.6 percent year on year, and 277.5 billion won in operating profit.
The company’s luxury cosmetics brands such as Whoo and su:m helped boost its performance, reporting growth of over 1 trillion won and 300 billion won respectively. Ohui saw a 45 percent increase.
Net profit rose 10.4 percent to 207 billion won compared to 187.6 million in the comparable period. Meanwhile the company’s beverage arm reported 393 billion won of sales and 50.8 billion won of operating profit.
Speaking in a statement, the company said, “Luxury cosmetic brands led the growth of our cosmetics business in both the domestic and overseas markets.”
