L’Oréal-owned Garnier is hoping to boost sales in an otherwise flat consumer market by launching a series of organic treatments, according to a report published by Reuters.
The skin care line is slated to launch early next year across Western Europe and will include anti-aging creams containing lavender extract as well as lemongrass-based cleanser.
“We saw there was a gap between what was on offer and very strong demand among consumers for natural organic products,” Celine Brucker, General Manager for L’Oréal France’s Consumer Division told Reuters.
Organic products is one of the fastest growing segments of the French beauty market, according to IRI, per Reuters. Global sales increased 35.4 percent in the 12 months to September, 2018.
