MAC teases fans with 2018 Puma collaboration in latest Athleisure development

MAC has taken to its Instagram account to tease the upcoming collaboration with fitness brand Puma, which will see the beauty favourite become the latest company to take a piece of the growing Athleisure trend.

Releasing a video simply depicting a black screen emblazoned with both the MAC and Puma logo, the Estée Lauder-owned company hinted at the 2018 partnership, writing, “Your favourite hues take a big step in a whole new direction! Stay tuned for a kickin’ collaboration, coming soon. #PumaxMAC #ForAllTime,” 

While MAC predominately collaborates with celebrities, the cloak and dagger unveiling has left social media users in a spin about what direction the partnership could take, with Athleisure once again highlighted as a possible route. One user wrote, “Sneakers and lipstick are a winning combo! Athleisure invades beauty with #PUMAxMAC coming in 2018.”

And with Rihanna being Puma’s Creative Director, and having previously joined forces with MAC for her own make-up range, it seems the venture is a natural progression for the two brands looking to jump on the sports/beauty bandwagon.
