Shiseido-owned Nars has announced Naomi Campbell as the new face of the brand, according to Vogue.com.

Despite being one of the original supermodels, it is the first time Campbell has fronted a beauty campaign, with the model being close friends with Nars founder François Nars.

Campbell will front the brand for the first half of 2019 starting with the Radience Repowered campaign as well as a new Orgasm campaign later on. The first campaign featuring the model was shot by Nars himself.

Speaking of her role, Campbell said, “François and I are like family and the same goes for Nars. I am honoured to be a part of such an incredible brand for so long.”

Nars continued, “Naomi is a living icon and brings such strong personality to the camera. She and I are like family. I have known her since the very beginning of her career. From the start, I have admired her, her beauty, and her style.”
