P&G to up D2C sales? Patent approved for mobile display screen

Procter & Gamble has had a patent application for a display screen with graphical user interface rubber stamped by the US Patent & Trademark Office, according to a report published by the Cincinnati Business Courier.

A look at the screen in question reveals a simple re-order system – named ‘My Replenishment Cupboard’; it appears that the company is developing an app to allow for direct-to-consumer orders.

The screen features a list of categories, divided by product name as well as descriptions and prices and a button that activates a smartphone camera to enable the user to scan a given product and add it to their basket.
