Revlon has teamed up with Google to create an innovative advertising campaign for Valentine’s Day.
Powered by Google technology, the #LOVEISON campaign allows consumers to upload their own photos and messages to Revlon e-cards, which they can then share with loved ones.
Once a photo has been uploaded, consumers are invited to select from a range of Revlon Ultra HD lipstick shades before a kiss print appears on the image.
The result is a shareable .GIF with a personalised love note that can be distributed via social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and personal email.
Brian McDevitt, Industry Director of Home & Personal Care at Google, commented, “What Revlon has done is incredibly smart and incredibly cool. This unique collaboration marries Google technology with the functionality and reach of our expandable engagement ads. It’s also the first time a brand has invited users to upload and create content directly within an engagement ad.”
By using the hashtag #LOVEISON when sharing the e-cards, consumers are automatically entered into a competition to have their image featured on a ‘Revlon Global Love Beacon’ In Times Square, New York.
