Saks Fifth Avenue has unveiled its new 32,000sq ft beauty floor in its flagship New York store, which will feature more than 120 color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance and wellness brands.

The floor has been expanded by 40 percent and has a heavy focus on experiential beauty with 15 new spa treatments rooms that offer medi-spa treatments, facials, massages, manicures, as well as a flower store.

The bold decision to move Beauty to the second floor, from the traditional main floor model, allowed us to build a one-of-a-kind destination enabling Saks to create the epitome of an experiential beauty floor.
“We continue to apply the principles of what we call The New Luxury to everything we do.  What we’ve done with Beauty gives the customer a warmer environment, differentiated from what they can get anywhere else and creates a reason to come to Saks and experience our brand.”

The redesign was headed up by the Saks Store Planning and Design team in collaboration with Gensler, with new concepts such as the first of its kind Chanel spa room modeled after the Chanel au Ritz Hotel Spa in Paris and a Dior spa room modeled after the Dior Institut at the Plaza Athenée in Paris.

The floor will also play host to beauty and wellness events, offering a 850-square-foot event space.
