Estee Lauder is hosting a pop-up with a difference for the holiday season. The prestige beauty brand will wow shoppers in Hong Kong with pop-up counters featuring Quantum Human technology over the festive period, according to a report published by Marketing Interactive.
Housed within a carousel-shaped installation, this AI-scan-to-avatar tech allows users to create their own 3D avatar, which will then be able to carouse through a fairy-tale setting created by the brand featuring an array of products in a 22-second long virtual reality film.
The technology was eight years in the making, according to the brand, per Marketing Interactive ad, enabling the creation of 3D avatars in minutes, where previously they would take months to animate. The scanner will tour various locations across the island throughout November, through early December.
