‘We’re committed to growth in China’: Coty partners with Alibaba

Coty has partnered with Alibaba with a view to growing its presence on the Chinese market, according to a report published by Bloomberg.

The US beauty behemoth’s brands will be stocked in vending machines in malls across major Chinese cities and will collaborate with the Chinese e-commerce giant on a series of initiatives in hair and beauty salons. Coty will also develop products tailored to the local market with help from Alibaba’s Tmall Innovation Center.

Coty CEO Camillo Pane told Bloomberg that the partnership ‘underpins our commitment to growth in China’ and will enable the US beauty manufacturer to offer ‘increasingly more personalized experiences both online and offline’.
