What’s in a name? A lawsuit going by Charlotte Tilbury’s experience

Actor Brooke Shields is suing make-up brand Charlotte Tilbury as well as Sephora and a group of department stores, for selling a brow pencil named Brooke S  without her permission, according to a report published by WWD.

Papers filed reveal that the actor has been mulling the launch of her own dedicated make-up line and accuse Tilbury et al of profiting from her ‘iconic eyebrows’, the actor’s signature look.

The suit was filed in Los Angeles where Shields will be able to invoke California’s right of publicity statute and seek compensatory and punitive damages.
