The Australian arm of the Woolworths supermarket chain has launched a new budget beauty and personal care range to market in a bid to stay abreast of competition, according to a report by news.com.au.
The new Voeu range will feature skincare products across three sub-ranges, Everyday Core, Age Protect and Age Regenerate. These will include gel and cream cleansers, exfoliating scrub, two moisturisers and two eye serums, and will retail between $1.50 to $8.
Woolworths is said to be pinning hopes on the new skin care offering driving consumers back into the beauty aisles in the supermarket, while continuing to drive sales following its recent better-than-expected first half results.
The company beat industry expectations, which is said to signal a positive result for the supermarket’s billion-dollar investment in lowering prices.
